Paul Jacoulet, Sur Le Sable. This very simple print is also influenced by Jacoulet's earlyer trips to Paris, where he admired the reclining nudes of Matisse. It is interesting to compare this treatment of the same model as Fleurs Violettes (No.41), this time in a Western perspective that uses negative spaces with increasing skill.
